MARKED is a practical social-emotional skills course that helps people develop a positive self-concept, understand how the body, mind, and emotions work, and find meaning and purpose in their lives.

Someone recently asked me what the meaning of life is. I responded, "To find yourself, to be able to live a meaningful life that supports the uniqueness and importance of you and those around you." Dare to be truthful with yourself and others while growing your own unique personality and identity.

Our youth and young adults today face greater insecurity than in the past. This instability and insecurity creates widespread difficulties in meeting people, to engage with work and value ourselves. Exclusion from society is one of today's most pressing issues. MarkEd's work and strategy offer outstanding assistance in acute situations and serve as a preventive step to keep these difficulties from worsening. For all of these reasons and more, I confidently suggest MarkEd's services for wider use.

"A well-being young person is capable of making beneficial choices for themselves and their well-being."

"Throughout my long career in the field of addiction and gambling treatment, I have observed that my clients often have experiences of disconnection, loneliness, worthlessness, feelings of exclusion, lack of self-image and self-esteem, and difficulties in processing emotions underlying their addictions. MARKED offers a diverse and comprehensive training program and activities to support young people's growth into their true selves.

Skills in emotions and relationships, strengthening self-image, accepting oneself with strengths and weaknesses, help young people make meaningful choices for themselves and their well-being in hobbies, relationships, leisure time, and future aspirations. I see MARKED's activities as a crucial component in preventing youth addiction problems. A well-being young person is capable of making beneficial choices for themselves and their well-being."

"Young people's lives should be built on a foundation where they feel important and unique"

"From my professional expertise and experience as a high school counselor, I can attest that the topics covered in MARKED are particularly important and timely. The program enables each young person to embark on a journey of self-discovery, which is crucial in their developmental stage. It's important to support young people in becoming who they dream to be. This involves challenging beliefs, strengthening self-image, accepting oneself, approaching oneself with kindness, accepting emotions, understanding that one is not defined by their feelings or thoughts, and feeling valued as part of a community.

I believe that through this initiative, we will see many positive effects both within school communities and in the personal lives of young individuals. One of the goals of the program is to reduce the prevalence of bullying and mental health issues, and undoubtedly, teaching these topics will have an impact on these statistics. I strongly believe that this program can also serve as a preventive tool against addiction and loneliness."
